Eileen Olson has been practicing yoga for 15 years. From the moment she stepped on her yoga mat, Eileen said she felt at home. She received her certification from the Chicago Yoga Center under the guidance of Sudda Wexler and continues to study with Donna Wilkinson of Beverly, whom she credits with creating her love for yoga. Eileen is also certified in Yin Yoga where she studied with Sara Powers and has completed workshops with Paul Grilley,Sean Corn, and Todd Norian. She practices and teaches various yoga styles with Hatha, Restorative and Gentle as her primary focus. She calls her yoga "snowflake yoga" as every day on the mat is unique as we are unique every day. Her intention is to encourage a focus on breathing and being mindful in each pose, and adjusting for each person's strength and flexibility. With a belief that everyone can benefit from yoga she desires to create a class where eveyone leaves with a peaceful heart.
Elyssa Bulthuis Elyssa came to yoga in 1998 when the health club she had been teaching aerobics and strength training at asked if she would take a weekend workshop to learn to teach yoga. From that weekend she learned that first, yoga cannot be learned in a weekend; and second, this was the best thing that had ever happened to her! After that weekend, Elyssa delved into studying yoga by attending other workshops and filling her bookshelf. She has completed her 200 hour certification with Moksha Yoga and continues to further her yoga education attending workshops with master teachers. Elyssa’s early practice was based in restorative poses to help relieve life stresses and then progressed to an athletic Astanga practice. Vinyasa flow blended with hatha naturally evolved out of this practice and became the style she likes best to teach. Expect an invigorating practice that will challenge you to find a new edge without leaving you feeling drained.
